This season, 14 Olympiacos players are competing on loan at different clubs, with Pedro Martins boasting a large squad at his disposal. In the summer transfer window, Olympiacos notably signed forward Fjorin Durmishaj from Panionios, but the Greek international was offloaded to Waasland-Beveren in order to gain playing time. The likes of Durmishaj, Marios Vrousai, Dimitris Manos and Athanasios Androutsos do harbour realistic hopes of receiving a chance with the Erythrolefki in the future:

VUKOVIC LEAVES

Experienced Serbian defender Jagos Vukovic officially terminated his contract with Olympiacos in early September. Reports suggested that Martins didn’t even want to have Vukovic on the bench as a back-up option.

The 31-year-old is now a free agent.

Having joined from Konyaspor in the summer of 2017, the centre-back subsequently made 33 appearances for Olympiacos, contributing with three goals and one assist. Ruben Semedo, Yassine Meriah, Pape Abou Cisse and Avraam Papadopoulos are the main central defensive options for Olympiacos. The Erythrolefki are waiting for Semedo to return shortly after he received a knee injury in the UEFA Champions League match against FC Krasnodar in August.
