18th appearance for Olympiacos in Champions League group stages
Olympiacos will make their 18th appearance in the UEFA Champions League group stages, joining a select club of teams.
Olympiacos qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stages after dispatching Rijeka 3-1 on aggregate in the playoff qualifying round. It will be Olympiacos’ 18th appearance in the group stages of Europe's premier club competitions, becoming only the 8th team in the tournament’s history to do so.
Only the likes of Barcelona (22), Real Madrid (22), Porto (21), Bayern Munich (21), Manchester United (21), Arsenal (19), and Juventus (18) have made at least 18 appearance in the group stages.
Olympiacos join this prestigious list leaving behind them Italian giants AC Milan who have made 17 appearances in the Champions League group stages.
