In the final 10 minutes, Joe Hart denied Real Madrid on multiple occasions, including Pepe’s close ranged shot from inside the 6-yard box. Real continued to attack, but could not find the important away goal and the game ended 0-0. For the visitors, Ronaldo was ruled out before the game due to a thigh injury and is expected to play in next week’s second leg. The two teams will play in Madrid next Wednesday for a place in the UEFA Champions League Final.
