Edin Dzeko’s second half goals gave Bosnia-Herzegovina the 2-0 victory over Cyprus to move up to 6 points in Group H. Belgium easily defeated Gibraltar 0-6 in the other fixture in Group H.

Cyprus fought for 70 minutes in Bosnia as they held the hosts to a goalless draw, but two goals from Edin Dzeko proved decisive in today’s qualifier. The Roma striker took advantage of a clumsy mistake from the Cypriot back-line to give Bosnia the 1-0 lead in the 70th minute. The goal came with a sigh of relief for the home side and before Cyprus could respond, Dzeko sealed the victory with a header in the 81st minute. Bosnia held onto their two-goal victory to move up to 6 points in the group, three behind Greece and Belgium. Cyprus could not take points away from Bosnia (would have helped Greece) and remained pointless after three matches.

As expected, Belgium had an easy night in Gibraltar coming away with a 0-6 victory. Benteke scored a hat-trick (scored seven seconds into play, the fastest goal in qualifying history) while Witsel, Mertens, and Hazard each added a goal.
