- Vellios Signs with Nottingham Forest -
 

Greek striker Apostolos Vellios has signed with Nottingham Forest in the English Championship (2nd Division). The former Iraklis players signed a 4-year deal with the club.

Vellios had a good season at Iraklis in the Greek SuperLeague and caught the eyes of AEK and Olympiacos earlier in the year. These past few days he has been in England, training with Nottingham, before passing all medical tests and signing a 4-year deal with the club.

Vellios began his career at Iraklis in 2008, at the age of 16, and made a move to Everton (England) in 2011. He was with the English club for 3 years, scoring only 3 goals for Everton. He returned to Iraklis last season and had 27 appearances with 11 goals. Vellios is a new call-up with the National Team making his first of three appearances in March 2016.
