AGONAsport.com brings you a recap of all of Greece’s Athletes that competed in Day 10 (Monday, August 15) of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

TODAY'S COMPETING GREEK ATHLETES
 

SWIMMING – Women's 10km Marathon, FINAL: Kalliopi Araouzou
***Araouzou put up a great fight in the Women's 10km Open water Swimming event, finishing in 11th place. The Greek swimmer completed the race in 1:57:31, only a minute behind the gold medalist from Holland 1:56:32. The 25-year old will see her first Olympic Games as a success with a bright future ahead of her.

Track & Field – Women’s 200m Dash, Heat 4: Maria Belibasaki
***Maria Belibasaki finished 4th in Heat 4 of the qualifying round and was eliminated from the competition. She ran 200 meters in 23.19 seconds and ranked 37th overall.

Synchronized Swimming – Women’s Duet, Preliminary: Papazoglou & Platanioti
***After finishing in 10th place in the Free Routine for the Women's Synchronized Duet preliminary round the Greek duo ranked 10th in today's technical routine. They finished in 10th overall and will compete in the final round on Tuesday. 

Sailing – Men’s 470, Preliminary Races 8-10: Kagialis & Maniatis
***Kagialias & Maniatis will have to wait another day to secure their place in the medal round after today's races were canceled due to weather. 

GYMNASTICS - Men's Rings, FINAL: Eleftherios Petrounias
***Eleftherios Petrounias proved to the world that he is the best gymnast in the Men's Rings competition, scoring a 16.00 and winning the GOLD MEDAL! Full story here...

Track & Field – Women's Discuss Throw, Qualifying Group A: Hrisoula Anagnostopoulou
***Anagnostopoulou's best throw was 54.84 meters which have her 26th place. She did not qualify for tomorrow's final.

TRACK & FIELD – Men's Pole Vault, FINAL: Konstantinos Filippidis
***Filippidis was far from his best in the final round of the Men's Pole vault. After clearing 5.50 meters on his first attempt, Filippidis failed to surpass 5.65 meters making an early exit from the competition. He finished 7th. Full story here...

Track & Field – Men's 110m Hurdles, Heat 4 (8:04 PM): Kostas Douvalidis
***Douvalidis finished in 1st place of Heat 4 and earned a place in the event's semi-finals! He completed his heat in 13.61 seconds, the 6th best time in qualifying.
