The derby of the week at stadium Antonis Papadopoulos did not give us a winner, with the Anorthosis and Omonia playing to a 2-2 draw. Omonia scored first with Margaca and Christophi while Anorthosis came back with two headers by Victor and Calderon. Both teams wanted the win however with this result, Omonia remain 5th, eleven points behind 1st place, while Anorthosis remained 9th and five points away from the postseason Championship round. Highlights can be found here...

AEK Larnaca lost two valuable points in Limassol on Saturday’s game with Aris in a 1-1 draw. The Prasinoi of Limassol managed to shock AEK with an early goal by Martins. Trickowski equalized for AEK just before halftime. In the second half, AEK wasted a lot of chances to claim all three points while Aris managed to get a valuable point for their survival battle. AEK is now 3 points behind the leaders APOEL while Aris is still 11th and four points over the danger zone. Highlights can be found here...

Even though Nea Salamina managed to score first with a beautiful goal from Kolokoudias, it did not stop AEL Limassol from coming away with a 1-3 victory. AEL responded with two amazing goals by Piti, who came this month as a free transfer from Rayo Vallecano and the comeback was completed with a goal from Mesca in the 68th minute. AEL took advantage of AEK’s draw to pull closer to 2nd place (trail by two points) while they remain five points behind the leaders, APOEL. Highlights can be found here...

Apollon Limassol did not have any trouble passing through Ermis as three goals from Da Silva, Joao Pedro and Maglica were enough to continue their winning streak. Ermis were unable to gain anything from the game and even though they remain sixth, Ethnikos and Nea Salamina trail just behind in the standings. Apollon took advantage of Omonia’s draw to gain a clear advantage for 4th place while trailing APOEL by six points. Highlights can be found here...

APOEL knew after AEK’s draw that they had a big opportunity to open the difference from 2nd place to three points and did just that in a spectacular fashion, by scoring seven goals against Zakakiou in Nicosia. Aloneftis, Pieros Sotiriou and Merkis each scored one goal, while Baral and De Camargo scored twice in the triumph over the Zakakiotes. APOEL are now in control of claiming their 5th consecutive championship while AEZ remain in 13th place and their return back to the 2nd Division is closer than ever.  Highlights can be found here...

Karmiotissa and Anagennisi wanted all three points as they produced a game with four goals and many chances for both teams. Anagennisi went ahead twice with goals from Furtado and Rivas, however Karmiotissa managed to equalize both times with Poljanec and Pasek, despite playing the last 20 minutes with 10 players (red card to Dragogevic). Karmiotissa managed to gain a valuable point and are now tenth in the standings, nine points over the danger zone. Anagennisi are still in last place as their hopes for survival slowly trickle away. Highlights can be found here...

Ethnikos did not have any problems in gaining three more points over Doxa with their 2-0 victory. Two goals from Hristov and Zelaya were enough to jump the Achniotes to 7th place and just a point behind the postseason championship group. Doxa’s defeat keeps them in the danger zone, four points behind Aris. After yet another disappointing result, the Katokopites will hire Savvas Poursaitidis, replacing Carlos Carberon as the head coach. Highlights can be found here...
