On Tuesday, the 2019/20 Super League draw took place with all 14 teams finding out their schedule ahead of the new season. In the 2019/2020 campaign, each club will play 26 matches in the Super League regular season, before playoffs and playouts subsequently decide the final standings. All points accumulated in the regular season will be transferred to the playoffs and playouts.

AEK will look to put together a much-improved Super League campaign after a failed title defense last season. The draw allows for the Enosis to make a very strong start to the season as they kick-off at home to Xanthi, before playing matches away to Asteras Tripolis, at home to Lamia, and away to Panetolikos.

AEK’s first derby of the season will be against their Dikefaloi rivals, PAOK, at the Olympic Stadium in Athens. A perfect start to the season followed by a win over PAOK on matchday five could really put AEK in title contention early on in the season.

The Kitrinomavri will then travel to Larissa and host newly-promoted Volos before another big clash against Olympiacos at the Karaiskaksi Stadium on matchday eight. AEK’s schedule will not let up as matches against Atromitos (home), Panathinaikos (away), and Aris (home) will follow.

On the last two matchdays of the first half of the season, the Enosis will travel to Heraklion to matchup with OFI before hosting Panionios at the Olympic Stadium.
