Before a ball is kicked in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions & Europa League third qualifying rounds, both Olympiacos and AEK will found out their opponents in the playoff round of each competition. AEK, who will take on Celtic in the Champions League third qualifying round, will enter both the Champions and Europa league draws while Olympiacos, who will play Luzern in the Europa League third qualifying round, will enter only the Europa League playoff draw.

PAOK are also competing in the Champions League but have already been given an opponent by UEFA for the playoff round. If the Dikefalos tou Vora progress past Spartak Moscow in the third qualifying round, they will play against Benfica or Fenerbahce in the qualifying playoffs. Despite PAOK already knowing their opponents, they will enter the draw on Monday to find out where the first leg against Benfica/Fenerbahce will take place (home or away). If PAOK are eliminated by Spartak Moscow, they will automatically be granted a place in the Europa League group stages.

AEK will enter both Champions & Europa League draws as a seeded side, thanks to Celtic’s higher UEFA ranking. The Enosis’ possible opponents in the Champions League playoffs include:

Young Boys (SUI)
Qarabag (AZE)/BATE Borisov (BLR)
Malmo (SWE)/Videoton (HUN)
Spartak Trnava (SVK)/Red Star Belgrade (SRB)

If AEK are eliminate by Celtic, they will enter the UEFA Europa League playoffs and their possible opponents will be:

Ludogorets Razgrad (BUL)/Zrinjski (BIH)
Sheriff (MDA)/Valur Reykjavík (ISL)
Spartaks Jūrmala (LVA)/Sūduva (LTU)
The New Saints (WAL)/Midtjylland (DEN)
Torpedo Kutaisi (GEO)/Kukës (ALB)

If Olympiacos defeat Luzern they will progress to the Europa League playoffs and will be seeded in the draw. Their possible opponents will include:

RB Leipzig (GER)/U Craiova (ROU)
Spartak Subotica (SRB)/Brøndby (DEN)
Hibernian (SCO)/Molde (NOR)
Sturm Graz (AUT)/AEK Larnaca (CYP)
