AEK sign Jankovic on short-term deal

AEK BC have signed former Panathinaikos small forward Vlado Jankovic on a 2+5 month contract.

On Monday, AEK released this following statement:

“AEK BC announces that it has reached an agreement with Vladimir “Vlado” Jankovic (29 years, 2.02 m). The international forward signed a contract with the Vasilissa for two (2) months with the option for a five-month (5) extension.”

Jankovic, who has both Greek and Serbian citizenship, was available as a free agent after he left Holargos BC upon the completion of the 2018/2019 season. In that particular campaign, the forward registered an average of 13.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in the Basket League. He has spent the vast majority of his senior basketball career in Greece.

AEK have made a poor start to the Basket League season with only two wins in six games. The Kitrinomavri boast a 3-1 record in the Basketball Champions League.
