Ethnikos Achnas hosted AEL Limassol at the Dasaki tis Achnas in Achna, in southeastern Cyprus. Ryan Mmaee centered for Andreas Avraam, but Martin Bogatinov cut down the angle and made the save. Then Mmaee laid off for Avraam, who with a slick back heel found Giannis Gerolemou. Gerolemou took the shot, and it was redirected past Bogatinov by Ruben Jurado. An all-around great passing play put AEL on top 1-0 in the 29th minute, which remained the score at halftime.

AEL looked to bury Ethnikos in the second half, Adnan Aganovic found himself alone with Bogatinov, but at the final moment, he took too heavy a touch and gave himself no angle to put the ball on net. Ethnikos seemed to wake up after that and pressed hard for an equalizer. Giorgos Papageorgiou had a try from a bad angle, but Vozinha was alert to it. Ibrahim Koneh set up a chance for Jovan Kostovski, but Vozinha knocked it aside. Helping in their cause was Gevorg Ghazaryan taking a red card for clipping Vincent Laban. On their final chance, a cross came in for Marios Ilia, but Vozinha had one last save in him, and AEL hung on for a 1-0 win away to Ethnikos Achnas. AEL, for the time being move into third place. Ethnikos are in eighth.

In the Friday game, Olympiakos Nicosia hosted Enosis Neon Paralimni at the Makario Stadio in Nicosia. In the first minute, the hosts were looking good, Paris Psaltis found Jonathan Ayite in space, but his header was off target. At the other end, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan hit the crossbar. Chigozie Udoji tried to sneak one in at the near post, but Pavol Bajza did well to make the save. Not to be outdone, Boris Klaiman made a big save of his own on Panayiotis Zachariou. On the ensuing corner, Ayite bashed a header and Klaiman made an even better save. Neither side found the back of the net in the first half.

Olympiakos looked to break through when Ayite hit the post, and Giorgos Economides shanked the rebound wide. Ayite was snakebitten, and neither side seriously threatened to score otherwise, and the match ended as it began, 0-0. This draw benefits Olympiakos more, they retain their three point safety cushion in tenth place which represents safety, over 11th place Enosis who are still in the drop zone.
