Anastasiadis makes no surprises in line-up for Liechtenstein
Greek national team head coach Angelos Anastasiadis has named his starting line-up to play Liechtenstein in the maiden UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier on the road, opting to use Dimitris Kourbelis as a central defender in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
As expected, Odisseas Vlachodimos guards the Greek goal, with full-backs Michalis Bakakis and Leonardo Koutris covering the flanks. In the absence of the injured Kostas Manolas and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Anastasiadis has decided to play Dimitris Siovas and Kourbelis in the middle of defence.
Carlos Zeca and in-form Benfica midfielder Andreas Samaris will shield the defence, Anastasios Bakasetas and the lively Giorgos Masouras compete on the wings, while Olympiacos star Kostas Fortounis carries the responsibility of the playmaker. Galatasaray striker Konstantinos Mitroglou leads the attacking line.
Greece starting XI (4-2-3-1): Vlachodimos, Bakakis, Kourbelis, Siovas, Koutris, Zeca, Samaris, Bakasetas, Fortounis, Masouras, Mitroglou.
