Doxa Katokopias hosted Anorthosis at the Makario Stadio in Nicosia. Anorthosis scored early and often, as it took less than ten minutes for them to open the scoring with Ruben Rayos beating Armin Gremsl to make it 1-0 for the visitors, who were just getting started. Doxa tried to answer quickly, and Carlao won himself a free header but it was off target. Anorthosis struck again in the 36th minute when Nika Kacharava found Michal Duris, who did well to keep the ball away from an onrushing Gremsl and calmly tuck in it, making it 2-0. The Anorthosis advantage remained 2-0 at the half-time break.

The floodgates opened up in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Kacharava found himself alone with Gremsl, and he embarrassed the Austrian goalkeeper as he put it through his legs to make it 3-0. That became 4-0 just six minutes later when Gordon Schildenfeld got away from the Doxa defence and planted a free header past Gremsl. Vladimir Boljevic tried to get Doxa on the board from distance, but Giorgi Loria was alert and made the save. In the 79th minute, things went from bad to worse when Gremsl punched out a cross, but still fell victim to a stunning volley off the boot of Murtaz Daushvili, 5-0 Anorthosis. Duris capped off the scoring in the 85th minute, and Anorthosis took over first place in style, a 6-0 runaway win over Doxa Katokopias. For Doxa, they remain in 12th and last place.

WILD DRAW IN LARNACA

AEK Larnaca hosted Enosis Neon Paralimni at the Giorgos Karapatakis AEK Arena in Larnaca. The hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Apostolos Giannou fed Ivan Fiolic, who beat Boris Klaiman to give AEK first blood. Just three minutes later, Enosis had the equalizer as Ernest Agyiri unleashed a weak header, but Tono Ramirez slipped and fell and the unassuming shot beat him, making it 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Agyiri crossed in for Dimitris Theodorou who got low, and headed it past Ramirez to give Enosis their first lead at 2-1. More embarrassment for the Spanish keeper followed in the 42nd minute, when Vasilis Vallianos beat Ramirez from well outside the box and practically on the sideline. It was a nice shot that also hit the bar and went down, but he was out of position. Enosis took a 3-1 lead into the second half

AEK subsequently came roaring back. 43 seconds into the second half, Ivan Trickovski fired a well-placed strike past Klaiman to halve the deficit. Not long later, Nacho Cases drew a penalty after being fouled in the box. Trickovski converted it past Klaiman, and it was 3-3 with 35 minutes still to play. Ten minutes later, Trickovski completed his hat trick with another penalty, this time from a collision between Giannou and Hovhannes Hambardzumyan that likely shouldn’t have been given. AEK had their first lead since it was 1-0. However, it did not hold up. Onisoforos Roushias beat Ramirez from a bad angle on a header to make it 4-4 in the 72nd minute. It looked like Enosis had been handed a golden opportunity to win when Facundo Garcia got sent off. Chigozie Udoji had a would-be winner called back on offside, and otherwise the best chance fell to Theodorou, but Ramirez tipped it over the bar. The high-octane affair ended in a 4-4 draw. AEK remain in third place, Enosis stay in 11th place.
