Volos NFC responded to their dip in form by thumping Irodotos 5:0 at home. After a slow opening half hour, the hosts found their way to goal when Mantzis gave Volos NFC the lead in the 35th minute. It was a completely different story after the restart with a second half hat-trick from Frangos (59, 70, 90) and a goal from Kokkoris (75) giving the league leaders a 5:0 victory. The result keeps the Thessaly club’s nine point advantage over second placed Apollon Larissas while Irodotos loom in the relegation zone with 25 points in 13th place.
