Apollon Larissa score two late goals against Chania to record a dramatic 1-2 victory in Crete.

Chania were the stronger side in the open half and after wasting multiple chances to grab an early lead, it was Kassos who put the hosts in front with a great strike from Tzioras’ cross in first-half stoppage time. It looked as if Kassos’ goal would hold on to be the match winner but Apollon Larissa fought back in a dramatic finale.

Firstly, Nazim’s effort was denied by the woodwork only for Latainas to put away the rebound to equalize in the 86th minute. The visitors did not settle for the draw, however, and Bastakos set up Tasioulis, who fired home in the second minute of stoppage time to give the Thessaly side a valuable three points.

The result moves Apollon Larissa up to fourth with 11 points while Chania are tied for eighth with eight points.
