APOLLON SMYRNIS 4-0 APOLLON PONTOU

Apollon Smyrnis are on a mission. On Sunday afternoon, the Athens-based organisation maintained their flawless start to the campaign, comfortably defeating Apollon Pontou 4-0 at the Georgios Kamaras Stadium in Rizoupoli.

Marko Markovski converted a penalty in the first half, before Ioannis Varkas promptly extended the advantage to two. Giannis Bastianos and Juan Larrea completed the rout in the second half with a further two goals.

While Apollon Smyrnis continue to fly high, the situation couldn’t be more different for Apollon Pontou, who are yet to score a single goal or register a point in three games.

PLATANIAS 1-1 FC CHANIA

The Chania derby ended level as the visitors grabbed a late equaliser with just 17 minutes remaining.

In a hotly-contested affair, Platanias broke the deadlock early in the second half, as Miguel neatly controlled the ball inside the box and neatly slotted into the left corner. Nevertheless, Chania notched their equalising goal in the 73rd minute, with Nikos Vrettos wonderfully hooking his attempt past the goalkeeper when off balance.

Platanias sit in third with seven points from three matches. Chania possess four points and occupy fifth spot.

LEVADIAKOS 1-0 AOK KERKYRA

Levadiakos are off the mark. Relegated from the 2018/2019 Super League, Levadiakos began the season with two successive defeats, but they picked up their first points with a 1-0 win over struggling Kerkyra.

Leonidas Argyropoulos scored the only goal on the brink of the half-time break when poking the ball over the line at point blank range.

Kerkyra have now lost all three matches while only scoring the one goal in the process.

PANACHAIKI 2-0 AE KARAISKAKIS

Following their Greek Cup loss to Panathinaikos, Panachaiki got back to winning ways this Sunday, earning a 2-0 win against Karaiskakis in Patras which ensures that they are second behind leaders Apollon Smyrnis.

Panagiotis Moraitis broke the deadlock in the 34th minute with a low, arrowed effort. Panagiotis Linardos made it 2-0 in the second half when scoring from the in space in the penalty area.

Karaiskakis had won their first games of the Super League 2 campaign.
