Atromitos guaranteed Europe next season
After the results in the Greek Cup semi-final return legs, Atromitos have been guaranteed a place in Europe next season.

This year’s SuperLeague surprise team, Atromitos, who led the table in the early parts of the season, currently occupy fourth place in the standings with 47 points. With Greece’s fifth placed team now guaranteed a spot in next year's UEFA Europa League, Atromitos mathematically secured a place in Europe’s second tier club competition.
The Athens based club currently sit nine points clear of sixth placed Asteras Tripolis with three matches remaining and cannot finish below fifth place by the end of the season. As a result, Atromitos can now make plans for Europe next season as their campaign will begin in the UEFA Europa League 2nd qualifying round, if they finish in 4th or 5th place in the SuperLeague standings. Third place, currently occupied by Olympiacos with 54 points, would lead to a place in the UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round, however with three games remaining, a seven point difference seems a far fetched goal at this point.
