Avlonitis included in Austrian Bundesliga Team of the Week

Anastasios Avlonitis has been included in the Austrian Bundesliga Team of the Week after helping Sturm Graz defeat St. Polten 4-0, while Panagiotis Retsos made his long-awaited return from injury for Bayer Leverkusen.

Sturm Graz eased past St. Polten on the road on Saturday, scoring four answered goals to claim an emphatic 4-0 victory which ensures that the club stays in fifth place of the Bundesliga with 20 points from 12 games. Sturm Graz are 12 points behind first-placed RB Salzburg.

Avlonitis, 29, played the full 90 minutes of the game and has subsequently been included in the Team of the Week:

So far, Avlonitis has made 12 league appearances for Sturm Graz this season, scoring the one goal. He has been playing for the Austrian club since transferring from Panathinaikos in July 2018. 

RETSOS RETURNS

Panagiotis Retsos is back. On Tuesday, the 21-year-old made his first appearance for Bayer Leverkusen in 334 days, replacing the injured Lars Bender in the 31st minute of a 1-0 German Cup victory against Paderborn at home. Retsos has struggled with plenty of injury problems since leaving Olympiacos for Leverkusen in the summer of 2017.

Leverkusen then announced a 10% discount on all club merchandise associated with the young Greek defender:
