As it was reported earlier in the week, legendary Panathinaikos guard Dimitris Diamantidis has been named to the EuroLeague’s All-Decade team for 2010-20.
It marks the second-straight decade that Diamantidis has earned the distinction, and it’s really not hard to see why when taking a look at the statistics. But as Panathinaikos fans know, Diamantidis meant so much more than a stat-line for the club over his 12-year tenure with the Athenians, a run that included five EuroLeague Final Four appearances and three EuroLeague titles.
Upon his retirement in 2016, Diamantidis was immediately named a EuroLeague Legend and quickly had his iconic number 13 retired by Panathinaikos.
