Calendar released for 2018/2019 Football League season
GREEK FOOTBALL LEAGUE - MATCHDAY 21
Earlier this week, the calendar for the 2018/2019 Football League season was released, however there is still uncertainty surrounding the start date.
As previously reported on AGONAsport, the initial start date for the 2018/2019 Football League season was October 14, however complications with television company ERT surrounding a broadcasting contract have arisen. According to sources in the Greek media, the two parties cannot reach an agreement, an issue which is threatening to prevent the campaign from starting in the near future.
However, despite those problems, the calendar for the 2018/2019 Football League was still put together on Wednesday. Panachaiki, who are the favourites to earn promotion to the top flight, begin their season with a match against Aiginiakos at home, while Iraklis host Irodotos
and AOK Kerkyra play Apollon Larissa.
In the 15th (and 30th) round, Ergotelis take on Doxa Dramas in a match between two clubs harbouring ambitions of playing in the Super League, Panachaiki face Kerkyra and Iraklis do battle against Platanias.
