Carcela will be Olympiacos’ newest addition to the roster for the upcoming season. The 28-year old winger will sign a one-year loan deal from Granada with the agreement including a €2.5 million buyout clause (75% Granada, 25% Benfica) at the end of the season if the Erythrolefki wish to purchase the player. The Moroccan international will have annual earnings of over €1 milion.

The 28-year played last season in the Spanish la Liga with Granada were he made 28 appearances, scoring 5 goals, and giving one assist. According to reports, he will be looked at as one of Olympiacos’ starting players on the wings for the upcoming season as he houses explosive passing, dribbling, and shooting abilities.

With the signing of Carcela, another one of Hasi’s requests have been fulfilled as the club yesterday announced the signing of striker Emmanuel Emenike. The Erythrolefki will now look to urgently close in on a stopper that will be the backbone of Olympiacos’ defensive line for the new season as the upcoming Champions League qualifying rounds are a few weeks away.

The club’s number one target is Milos Kosanovic of Standard Liege. The Serbian stopper wishes to continue in Greece for Olympiacos and work once again with Besnik Hasi (had a common spell at Anderlecht). Jagos Vukovic of Konyaspor is also being looked at, however his cost of €3 million could very well be a barrier to his case.

With Besnik Hasi cutting Vergos, Olympiacos will also look to sign an additional striker to partner Emenike and Ansarifard. Reports out of Italy state that the Superleague champions are interested in Lazio’s Filip Dorđevic, however nothing has been confirmed by the club.

A consistent name in Olympiacos’ transfer gossip, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, was expected to continue his career in Russia for Krasnodar but according to reports, he was cut at the medical tests before signing with the Russian club. After those developments, Olympiacos officially announced that they have lost interest in the player and will turn to other options to strengthen the team’s midfield. Currently, the big name remains Nantes’ Guillaume Gillet.

Da Costa, who was not invited for the second stage of pre-season training in Belgium, will depart Olympiacos with Turkey looking to be a likely destination. His former team, Sivasspor, have expressed interest in the player and the Turkish club is likely to put an official offer for the centre-back. Olympiacos have an asking price of close to €2 million.

Last season’s BAM signing, Oscar Cardozo, has returned to Paraguay for Club Libertad after a disappointing spell with the Superleague champions. Andreas Bouchalakis is currently practicing at Nottingham Forest in hopes of closing a loan deal with the Football League side while former Olympiacos left back, Tsimikas, will continue his career in the Netherlands for Willem II.
