Chania put four past Kerkyra to move into third

Chania defeated Kerkyra 4-0 on Friday to move into third place in the Super League 2 standings.

Chania had a comfortable afternoon at home to relegation-bound Kerkyra in the opening fixture of matchday 16 in the Super League 2. The hosts opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Giakos, and 11 minutes later, Panos doubled Chania’s lead to put the Cretans in full control. 

Carlito put the game out of reach in first-half stoppage time to give Chania a 3-0 lead. Triantafyllakos wrapped up the scoring ten minutes after the restart, sealing a comfortable 4-0 win for Chania. 

The result moves Chania into third place with 28 points, two behind Apollon Smyrni, and one point ahead of fourth-placed Levadiakos. Both clubs have yet to play their matchday 16 fixtures and have a game in hand. Kerkyra remain on -3 points and are bound for relegation.
