On Saturday, Watford were seemingly heading for a bitter defeat at Southampton, but with eight minutes remaining on the clock, the ball fell to Cholevas on the edge of the penalty area who thumped a deflected effort into the net. The match ended in a 1:1 draw as Cholevas played the entire game.

In an impressive statistic, Cholevas has been directly involved in more English Premier League goals than any other defender, popping up with two markers and four assists. Watford sit in seventh position with 20 points in 12 matches.

Elsewhere, 33-year old midfielder Alexandros Tziolis struck the target in Saudi Arabia, firing Al Fayha to a 2:1 triumph over Al Ittihad.

Recently, the ageing Tziolis missed out on a place in Angelos Anastasiadis’ maiden squad for the Greek national team, but he brushed off that disappointment to net the winning goal against Al Ittihad at home. After 60 minutes of play, the score was locked at 1:1, however Tziolis rose highest to thump a bullet header beyond the opposing goalkeeper to score the final goal in the match. Tziolis remained on the pitch for 90 minutes and took a yellow card with Al Fayha claiming a 2:1 triumph.

In the 2018/2019 Saudi Professional League, Tziolis has made nine appearances, registering the one goal. Al Fayha occupy ninth position with 10 points from nine games.
