Originally, AEK were supposed to host PAS Lamia 1964 on September 26 at 21:30 local time in their opening match of the 2018/2019 Greek Cup group stage, but due to a request from the visitors, the game has officially been postponed until further notice without a new date being specified. Lamia had to play Panetolikos in the Super League on Monday (2:2) and weren’t willing to play twice in the matter of three days. For their part, AEK were coming off the back of a disappointing 0:2 loss to PAOK on Sunday, and will now have extra days to prepare for the two crucial upcoming fixtures against OFI (Super League) and Benfica (UEFA Champions League).

Elsewhere, the Panetolikos - Panathinaikos duel in the Greek Cup was scheduled to be held on September 27 at 19:00, but it’s been moved to October 2 in Agrinio and will begin at 17:30 instead. Panathinaikos are due to compete against PAS Giannina in Athens on Saturday in the Super League (19:00) and the gap between the games (48 hours) isn’t big enough.

The same can be said for the Panionios - AE Larissa Greek Cup match. At first, the Nea Smyrni outfit were preparing to play AEL at their home ground on Thursday 27 September at 19:00, but the game will now be played at 17:30 on October 3.
