Donis signs on loan for Reims

Anastasios Donis has joined Reims on loan from VfB Stuttgart for the 2019/2020 season.

Late on Monday evening, Reims released the following statement:

“Anastasios Donis has joined Reims on loan with a purchase option. He will automatically sign a four-year contract in the event the purchase option is used by the Ligue 1 Conforama club.”

This won’t be the first time when Donis plays in France. In the 2016/2017 campaign, Donis played on loan at Nice from Juventus, scoring five goals in Ligue 1. Donis had previously been linked with the likes of Genoa and Spartak Moscow this summer after VfB Stuttgart suffered relegation to the second tier of German football last season.

During the 2017/2018 season, the 23-year-old forward made 27 appearances for Stuttgart, contributing with five goals and three assists. He has scored one goal in nine matches for the senior Greek national team.

Transfermarkt rates his value at four million.
