Dorsey and Auguste out for Greece
Both Tyler Dorsey and Zach Auguste will not be available for Greece in the upcoming Eurobasket tournament.
Tyler Dorsey, who recently signed his first contract in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks, will not be available to help the Greek team at the upcoming Eurobasket tournament. The Greek-American guard suffered an ankle injury and will not recover in time for him to take place in training. Dorsey sent an official letter to the federation explaining his situation and mentioned that he is saddened to miss out on the honor that is to play for Greece’s national team.
In addition, new Panathinaikos signing Zach Auguste will also miss out for Greece as his official paperwork to play for the Greek national team has not been completed.
The Greek team has been training in Karpenisi since July 26 as they prepare for the European Championships in September. Coach Kostas Missas has clearly stated that Greece’s goal at the 2017 Eurobasket is to finish in the top 3 and earn a medal.
