The EPO released this following statement:

“The Dutch national team, which is preparing for the final stage of UEFA Euro 2020, will face our national team in the first of two international matches which will be played in May-June 2020 in preparation for the 2020 UEFA Nations League. The game will take place on May 28th at the Grolsch Veste Stadium in Enschede at 20:30 (Greek time).”

Head coach of the Greek national team, John van ‘t Schip, commented on the announcement:

“As a part of our Plan Qatar, and preparations for the 2020 UEFA Nations League in September, we want to play against strong opponents. This will allow us to see our level of competitiveness and which aspects require improvement. We have a young team, and we need to see how our players can compete against a team like the Netherlands. They are one of the favourites for the European Championship. On a personal level, I am returning to my nation as head coach of Greece, and this is very special for me.”

So far, Greece and Holland have met on nine occasions, with the Dutch recording seven victories. However, in 2016, the Greeks earned a 2-1 friendly triumph in Eindhoven, with Konstantinos Mitroglou and Giannis Gianniotas scoring.

Greece will participate in League C of the 2020 Nations League. The Ethniki Omada will also compete in two friendly games on American territory during March.
