Leaders Trikala recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to bottom of the table Ialysos. The hosts practically secured the three points in the opening 20 minutes as goals from Lottas (15) and Aleksic (20) gave Trikala a 2-0 lead. Lottas added a second goal three minutes after the restart in a match that was thoroughly dominated by the hosts. Trikala sit top of the table with 24 points and claim the unofficial title of Winter Champions while Ialysos are bottom of the bunch with just nine points from their opening 12 games.
Ionikos defeated Aspropyrgos with a rather comfortable 2-0 scoreline on Sunday. Kritikos opened the scoring in the 39th minute by making the most of a cross from Moustakis. After the restart, the hosts wasted multiple chances to add a second, and the goal they were looking for finally came in the 77th minute through Kallergis. The result keeps Ionikos in second place with 24 points, while Aspropyrgos are ninth with 14 points.
Veria defeated Niki Volou by a 3-0 scoreline to stay within striking distance of the top two teams. Simoni opened the scoring for the hosts in the 27th minute before two late goals from Bletsas (86), and Tairis (90+1) ensured victory for the Macedonian side. Veria trail second-placed Ionikos by three points while Niki Volou are eighth with 15 points.
Olympiacos Volou were 3-1 winners over Triglia and remained in fourth place in the league. Pozoglou put Olympiacos Volou ahead in the 19th minute only for his goal to be canceled out with Poci’s marker in the 44th minute. Boutzikos restored Olympiacos Volou’s lead midway through the second half, and Tsitas added a third for the hosts ten minutes before the end. Olympiacos Volou sit on 20 points as Triglia are in a three-way tie for 11th.
In other action, Thesprotos received a significant boost in their fight to avoid the drop as they defeated a struggling Kaamata side 3-1 while the matches between Diagoras Rodou/Kavala and Ierapetra/Egaleo ended in goalless draws.
