Former AEK player Blanco returns to Greece for Egaleo

Former AEK man, Ismael Blanco, has returned to Greece to continue his career after signing with Egaleo in the Football League.

Ismael Blanco has returned to Greece! The former AEK player penned a deal with Egaleo, who compete in the Greek third tier, on Tuesday afternoon. Blanco previously played for Club Atlético Mitre in the Argentine second division where he scored three goals in 11 matches last season. He did not renew his contract with the Argentine club and decided to return to Greece at 37 years old. 

Blanco enjoyed the best stint of his career in an AEK shirt where he remained from 2007-2011. In 171 matches for the Kitrinomavri, Blacno scored 73 goals and registered 25 assists.

In his career, Blanco has played in 446 official matches for ten clubs with 73 goals scored (over half at AEK) and 47 assists. Egaleo will be the eleventh club of his prosperous career. 

Egaleo currently sit in ninth place in the Football League season and will look, at a minimum, to avoid the drop at the end of the season.
