In first-half stoppage time, Hatzidiakos received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, subsequently unleashing a powerful drive which ripped into the left corner. That proved to be the winning goal against Twente at home as AZ eventually ran out 3-0 winners.

Hatzidiakos played the full 90 minutes. In the current season, the 22-year-old Greek defender has played in nine Eredivisie matches with AZ occupying second place of the table behind reigning champions Ajax.

Over in Germany, Dimitris Diamantakos scored his first league goals since September as St. Pauli drew 2-2 against Karlsruher at home.

Following a goalless first half, Diamantakos opened the scoring in the 50th minute as he converted a penalty, before the 26-year-old Greek striker repeated the trick 11 minutes later to give St. Pauli a 2-0 lead.

However, the visitors did launch a comeback to snatch a 2-2 draw and a valuable point.

St. Pauli sit in 10th place of the Bundesliga 2 with 14 points from 12 games. Diamantakos has scored six goals in nine appearances.
