Greece cruise past Croatia

Greece’s women’s national water polo team destroyed Croatia 18-3 at the European Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Greece got off to a great start, finding themselves ahead 6-0 after the first period of play. The Greeks would then extend this lead to 10-2 by halftime, and to 15-2 by the end of the third period. Ultimately, the final score was 18-3 in favor of the Greeks.

Leading the way offensively for Greece with three goals each were Nikoleta Eleftheriadou, Eleftheria Plevritou, and Eleni Xenaki.

Greece will now play against Slovakia on Wednesday, which is likely to be another easy win for the Greeks.
