Greece went two for two to start their EuroBasket 2021 qualifying campaign with wins over Bulgaria (73-63) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (65-70) last month. With international basketball back in action in February, FIBA released the newest edition of the FIBA World Rankings earlier this week.

Greece continue to sit in seventh place, fourth in Europe, with a total of 647.40 points. Ahead of Greece are the United States, Spain, Australia, Argentina, Serbia, and France. Lithuania, Czech Republic, and Brazil round out the top-ten.

The next round of EuroBasket qualifier will take place in November, however, before those matches take place, Greece will participate in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament under the direction of NCAA coaching legend Rick Pitino.

Greece will compete in the Victoria, Canada tournament with the host nation, China, Uruguay, Czech Republic, and Turkey set to fight for a single ticket to Tokyo 2020.
