Greece look unlikely of securing a place at next summer's Euro 2020 finals but the nation still has plenty of top talent showcasing their talents across both the Champions League and Europa League this current campaign.

With that in mind, here are some of the top Greek players to keep an eye out for across the remainder of the season in Europe's two big competitions.

Kostas Mitroglou (PSV Eindhoven)

Greek forward Kostas Mitroglou played a big role in actually helping PSV Eindhoven reaching the group stages of the Europa League, where they now sit atop Group D.

The now 31-year-old was on-target in their qualifying tie success over Apollon Limassol, in what turned out to be a rather routine first and second leg for the Dutch giants. They are now regarded at 25/1 in the Europa League betting from Paddy Power to go all the way this term and become champions outright.

Mitroglou has been a controversial player no matter which club he has featured for across his career to date but he has shown glimpses of his impressive talents going forward for PSV, as he continues his loan spell from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille.

Sokratis Papastathopolous (Arsenal)

Greek centre back Sokratis Papastathopoulos hasn't been a main feature for Premier League club Arsenal in the Europa League so far this current campaign due to some early injury setbacks.

But the solid defender has been busy helping the Gunners at the back in the domestic top-flight, as Unai Emery's men battle for a top-four finish this season and return to the Champions League next term.

They could of course achieve that feat by winning the Europa League this season too and it looks likely that Sokratis will eventually become a key figure for the Gunners in that bid in the coming months as fixtures begin to pile up.

Kostas Manolas (Napoli)

Naxos-native Kostas Manolas has been busy starring for Serie A titans Roma, becoming an integral aspect of their backline.

The Greek center-back was solid in the early win over reigning European champions Liverpool and the Little Donkeys are now looking in a strong position to reach the knockout stage.

Manolas will have to be at the top of his game in order for them to do so, as he maintains his commanding displays at the back.

Zeca (Copenhagen)

Born in Portugal, Zeca became a Greek citizen in March 2017 and he began representing his national side later that same year. The Copenhagen midfielder, who has racked up 19 international caps, has been crucial for his side in the Europa League.

As the captain, he helped guide them through two stages of qualifying and now the Danish club sit top of the pile in Group B after two games played. He's another Greece international to keep a keen eye on the rest of this season as proceedings begin to heat up.

With Greece producing some extreme talent over the last few years, who knows where said talent could take the sporting reputation of the country over the next year?
