On Monday, Greece were drawn into Group 3 of League C for the second edition of the UEFA Nations League. The Ethniki, who were placed in Pot 1, were paired with Kosovo (Pot 2), Slovenia (Pot 3), and Moldova (Pot 4).

UEFA released the schedule for this fall’s UEFA Nations League with Greece scheduled to play their theoretically two toughest fixtures in the group first. On September 3rd, Greece will kick-off in the Nations League away to Slovenia and three days later, will travel to Kosovo for matchday two.

One month later, Greece will host Moldova on October 6th before hosting Kosovo on October 9th. The final set of fixtures will take place in November where Greece will travel to face Moldova on November 13th and will round up their Nations League duties in what could be a vital final matchday at home to Slovenia on November 16th.

Greece will enter Group 3 as the clear favorites to win the group and gain promotion to League B for the 2022/23 Nations League. A good start away to Slovenia and Kosovo will play a critical role in Greece’s final position in the group.

Last campaign, Greece failed to earn promotion to League B after finishing third in their respective League C group behind Finland and Hungary, and ahead of Estonia.
