Greek Cup semi-final draw set for Thursday

The Greek Cup semi-final draw will take place on Thursday and will include Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK, and Aris.

On Wednesday, AEK became the fourth and final team to book their ticket to the semi-finals of the Greek Cup after easily defeating Panetolikos 4-0 in their second leg tie, to win the series 5-1 on aggregate. The Kitrionmavri joined Olympiacos, PAOK, and Aris in the final four of the competition. In the quarter-finals, PAOK defeated rivals Panathinaikos, Olympiacos took down Lamia, while Aris eliminated Atromitos.

The draw for the semi-finals is scheduled for Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at the Hellenic Football Federation’s offices. The semi-final draw will inevitably produce a derby as the competition nears its finale for the 2019/20 season. 

The draw will include all four teams in one pot with the first team draw to play the first match at home versus the second team drawn. The third team drawn will play their first match at home against the fourth team drawn. A draw will take place later to officially announce the home team for the final (the final will take place at a neutral venue).

According to EPO’s officials, the final will take place at the OAKA Olympic Stadium, however, if PAOK play Aris in the final, a different venue will be selected.
