Young striker Vangelis Pavlidis struck gold for the first time since October in the Eredivisie, hitting the target twice as Willem II were held to a pulsating 3-3 draw by Den Haag on the road. Marios Vrousai, who is another key player for the Dutch side, dished out an assist for Pavlidis’ second goal.

Elsewhere, Vangelis Platellas scored in Azerbaijan, helping Neftchi Baku defeat Gabala 4-1 at home.

MAIN MEN (Comprised of current/former national team players):

Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Arsenal/English Premier League): Played 90 minutes of the 2-2 draw against Southampton and received a yellow card.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (Arsenal/English Premier League): Not included in the squad to play Southampton in London.

Jose Cholevas (Watford/English Premier League): Played the entirety of a heavy 3-0 loss against Burnley at home.

Nikos Karelis (Brentford/English Championship): The Greek striker is out with a long-term injury. Brentford defeated Reading at home this weekend.

Panagiotis Retsos (Bayer Leverkusen/German Bundesliga): Kept on the bench during a 1-1 home draw with Freiburg.

Konstantinos Stafylidis (Hoffenheim/German Bundesliga): Used as a substitute in the 77th minute of an emphatic 5-1 home loss to Mainz.

Stefanos Kapino (Werder Bremen/German Bundesliga): The back-up goalkeeper sat on the bench as Werder conceded a 2-1 defeat to Schalke 04.

Sebastian Vasiliadis (Paderborn/German Bundesliga): Started the match against Borussia Dortmund and was substituted in the 41st minute. The teams played to a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos (Hamburg/German Bundesliga 2): The centre-back is currently ostracized from the first team. Hamburg defeated Dynamo Dresden 2-1 at home on Saturday.

Kostas Manolas (Napoli/Serie A): Kept on the bench as Napoli picked up a 1-1 draw at AC Milan.

Orestis Karnezis (Napoli/Serie A): Remained an unused substitute in the same game.

Panagiotis Tachtsidis (Lecce/Serie A): Contributed with an assist for the second goal as Lecce drew 2-2 at home against Cagliari. Played 90 minutes.

Charalampos Lykogiannis (Cagliari/Serie A): Played the full 90 minutes in the 2-2 tie with Lecce, receiving a yellow card. 

Dimitris Nikolaou (Empoli/Serie B): Fresh from scoring the winning goal against the under 21 Scottish national team, the commanding defender played 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Venezia.

Odisseas Vlachodimos (Benfica/Portuguese Primeira Liga): Rested in the 2-1 victory against Vizela in the Portuguese Cup.

Andreas Samaris (Benfica/Portuguese Primeira Liga): Included in the starting line-up in the Portuguese Cup game, subsequently being replaced at the half-time break.

Dimitris Siovas (Leganes/La Liga): Played 90 minutes of the 2-1 home loss to Barcelona.

Vasilis Lampropoulos (Deportivo/La Liga 2): Helped Deportivo tally a 0-0 draw against Alcorcon at home by playing the full 90 minutes.

Efthymis Koulouris (Toulouse/Ligue 1): Started the game against Marseille and was substituted in stoppage time of the first half. Toulouse conceded a 2-0 defeat.

Anastasios Donis (Reims/Ligue 1): Used as a substitute in the 69th minute of a 1-1 draw at Metz.

Konstantinos Mitroglou (PSV Eindhoven/Eredivisie): Sat on the bench with PSV defeating Hereenveen 2-1 at home.

Pantelis Hatzidiakos (AZ Alkmaar/Eredivisie): Played the entire 90 minutes against Utrecht as AZ comfortably won 3-0.

Marios Vrousai (Willem II/Eredivisie): Emerged from the bench in the 54th minute and immediately supplied an assist for Vangelis Pavlidis’ second goal. Willem II drew 3-3 at Den Haag.

Vangelis Pavlidis (Willem II/Eredivisie): Scored twice in the 3-3 draw against Den Haag and played the full 90 minutes. Received a yellow card in the process.

Tasos Bakasetas (Alanyaspor/Turkish Super Lig): Played 90 minutes of a surprise 1-0 home loss to Goztepe.

Manolis Siopis (Alanyaspor/Turkish Super Lig): Also played 90 minutes against Goztepe and was booked by the referee along the way.

Georgios Tzavellas (Alanyaspor/Turkish Super Lig): Stayed on the pitch for the entirety of the 1-0 defeat to Goztepe at home.

Carlos Zeca (FC Copenhagen/Danish Superliga): Played 90 minutes of the 2-1 home victory against Hobro. Cypriot forward Pieros Sotiriou scored the two goals for the capital outfit.

Panagiotis Kone (Western United/A-League): Given 90 minutes against the Central Coast Mariners as Western United conceded a narrow 1-0 loss.

GERMANY

Dimitris Diamantakos (St. Pauli/German Bundesliga): Did not participate in a 3-1 defeat against Erzgebirge Aue.

Panagiotis Vlachodimos (Grossaspach/Liga 3): Played 90 minutes of a 2-1 loss to Meppen on the road, contributing with an assist for his team’s goal.

NETHERLANDS

Konstantinos Lamprou (Vitesse/Eredivisie): Sat on the bench as Vitesse were soundly beaten 2-0 by Sparta.

Giorgos Strezos (Willem II/Eredivisie): Watched the entertaining 3-3 draw against Den Haag from the comfort of the substitutes’ bench.

James Efmorfidis (Almere City/Eerste Divisie): Started the game against Den Bosch at home and was later substituted in the 75th minute of proceedings. Almere City lost 2-0.

BELGIUM

Stergos Marinos (Charleroi/Jupiler League): Kept on the bench as Charleroi defeated St. Truiden 3-1 on the road.

Fjorin Durmishaj (Waasland-Beveren/Jupiler League): Remained an unused substitute in a 1-1 draw with Cercle Brugge.

Nikos Kenourgios (Zulte Waregem/Jupiler League): Didn’t play any part in a 2-0 away win at Mechelen.

ITALY

Giorgos Kyriakopoulos (Sassuolo/Serie A): Used as a substitute in the 69th minute of the 2-1 home defeat to Lazio.

BELARUS

Giorgos Katsikas (Dynamo Brest/Belarusian Premier League): Played no part in a 1-0 home triumph over Vitebsk. Dynamo Brest are the new champions of Belarus.

SWITZERLAND

Konstantinos Dimitriou (FC Basel/Swiss Super League): Not included in the squad to play against Servette on the road. Basel contrived to concede a 2-0 defeat.

SCOTLAND

Marios Ogboe (Hamilton/Scottish Premiership): Started a home match against Rangers and was substituted after the first half ended.

TURKEY

Stelios Kitsiou (Ankaragucu/Turkish Super Lig): Played the full match against Trabzonspor at home with Ankaragucu suffering a damaging 3-0 defeat.

Dimitris Chatziisaias (Rizespor/Turkish Super Lig): Emerged from the bench as a substitute in the 85th minute of a 2-0 defeat at Denizlispor.

Andreas Tatos (Altay/Turkish First League): Not included in the squad to play against Akhisarspor on the road in the Turkish second tier. Altay lost 2-1.

POLAND

Michalis Manias (Pogon Szczecin/Ekstraklasa): Kept on the bench with Pogon earning a hugely important 2-1 triumph over Legia Warsaw.

Konstantinos Triantafyllopulos (Pogon Szczecin/Ekstraklasa): Played the full 90 minutes in defence and received a yellow card.

BULGARIA

Antonis Stergiakis (Slavia Sofia/Parva Liga): Stayed on the bench during a 1-0 loss to Cherno More in Sofia.

Theofilos Kouroupis (Vitosha Bistritsa/Parva Liga): Didn’t compete in a 2-0 away defeat against Arda.

Dimitris Chantakias (Cherno More/Parva Liga): Remained an unused substitute as Cherno More defeated Slavia Sofia 1-0.

Giannis Kargas (Levski Sofia/Parva Liga): Used as a substitute in the 50th minute of a 2-0 loss against Tsarsko Selo at home.

SLOVAKIA

Lazaros Rota (Michalovce/Fortuna Liga): Received a yellow card while playing the entire 90 minutes of a 5-0 home victory against Dunajska Streda.

Kyriakos Savvidis (Michalovce/Fortuna Liga): Provided an assist for the first goal and received a yellow card in the same match. Replaced with 15 minutes remaining on the clock.

Dimitris Popovits (Michalovce/Fortuna Liga): Missing from the squad in the game with Dunajska Streda.

Christos Kountouriotis (Michalovce/Fortuna Liga): Used as a substitute in the 71st minute of the emphatic 5-0 triumph.

ROMANIA

Aris Soiledis (FCSB/Liga 1): Played the full 90 minutes against Astra as FCSB lost 3-1 in Bucharest.

Athanasios Papazoglou (FC Voluntari/Liga 1): Emerged as a substitute in the 84th minute of an exciting 2-2 draw against Politehnica Iasi.

Okan Chatziterzoglou (Academica Clinceni/Liga 1): Played the full 90 minutes of the 2-2 tie with Dinamo Bucharest at home.

Minas Chalkiadakis (FC Botosani/Liga 1): Not included in the team to play against Gaz Metan on the road. The duel ended in a 0-0 draw.

HUNGARY

Theodoros Berios (Kisvarda/OTP Bank Liga): Didn’t participate in a 1-0 home victory against Debrecen.

Stavros Tsoukalas (Kisvarda/OTP Bank Liga): Emerged from the bench as a substitute in the 27th minute of the same game.

AUSTRIA

Anastasios Avlonitis (Sturm Graz/Austrian Bundesliga): Played the full match against Rapid Vienna away from home. The game finished level at 1-1.

Taxiarchis Fountas (Rapid Vienna/Austrian Bundesliga): Stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes during the game with Sturm Graz.

Kosmas Gezos (Klagenfurt/Austrian Bundesliga 2): Missed the 2-1 win against Austria Vienna II at home.

Polydoros Gezos (Klagenfurt/Austrian Bundesliga 2): Played 90 minutes of the match with Austria Vienna II and provided an assist for the winning goal.

AZERBAIJAN

Vangelis Platellas (Neftchi Baku/Premier League): Scored the fourth goal against Gabala as Neftchi earned a 4-1 triumph. Used as a substitute in the 71st minute.

Anastasios Papazoglou (Zira/Premier League): Remained on the bench during a 3-1 win over Gesla at home.
