Stefanidi, Tentoglou Amongst Award Nominees

Ekaterini Stefanidi and Miltiadis Tentoglou were nominated for European Athletics awards, and they need votes from fans to help them win.

Pole vaulter Ekaterini Stefanidi successfully defended her European title, as well as her Diamond League title. She also won a bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships. Her jump of 4.87 meters in Zurich was the best jump of any European female pole vaulter this year.

As a result of these tremendous achievements, Stefanidi was nominated for “European Athlete of the Year,” an award which she won last year. To vote for her, you can like and share this post on Facebook:

Long jumper Miltiadis Tentoglou was crowned European champion at just 20 years of age. He was nominated in the “Rising Star” category for the second straight year. You can vote for him by liking and sharing this post:

For each category, the social media vote accounts for 25% of the total vote, with the rest consisting of the media vote, the Member Federation vote, and the European Athletics Expert Panel vote. The social media voting remains open until Friday October 5 at 7:00 AM EST (14:00 Greece time). The winners in each category will be announced on October 26.
