Iraklis in trouble, Apollon Larissas fall in Drama

Apollon Larissas were handed a 2:0 loss on the road to Doxa Dramas while Iraklis are now in a relegation fight after falling to AE Karaiskakis.

Second placed Apollon Larissas were handed a shocking 2:0 defeat on the road to Doxa Dramas. The hosts put together a great display and wasted no time to open the scoring as Kritikos netted home in the opening minute. Cruz sealed the three points for the home side with twelve minutes remaining. The win gives Doxa Dramas breathing room from the relegation zone as they sit in ninth with AE Karaiskakis on 31 points. Apollon Larissas are no longer solely in second place after Apollon Pontou and Panachaiki played to a draw on Sunday and matched the Thessaly side on 40 points.

Iraklis fell on the road to AE Karaiskakis by a narrow 1:0 scoreline and dropped down to 11th with 30 points. The Thessalonikis are now in a relegation fight with seven games remaining in the season. Tzioras’ 26th minute goal gave AE Karaiskakis a valuable three points as the club moved up to ninth on 31 points along with Doxa Dramas.
