Korakaki takes bronze at European Championships

Greek shooter Anna Korakaki won a bronze medal in the women’s 10 metre air pistol at the European Championships in Wroclaw, Poland.

Korakaki, who won a silver medal at last year’s event, finished in first place in this year’s qualifying round with a score of 581. She then scored 213.5 in the final to capture the bronze medal. Gold went to Serbia’s Bobana Velickovic with 236.4 points, and silver went to Switzerland’s Heidi Diethelm Gerber with 232.7 points.

The 23-year-old from Drama in Macedonia has now won two Olympic medals (gold and bronze), one World Championship medal (gold), and two European Championship medals (silver and bronze) so far in her career.
