Larentzakis moves to Olympiacos

Giannoulis Larentzakis has penned a three-year contract with Olympiacos, the Piraeus-based organisation confirmed on Saturday afternoon.

This following statement was released by Olympiacos:

“Olympiacos FC announces the acquisition of Giannoulis Larentzakis. The 26-year-old guard has signed a three-year contract.”

Larentzakis returns to Greece after spending the 2019/2020 season in Spain with Murcia. During his spell at Murcia, the 26-year-old guard registered an average of 8.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the domestic championship.

In the past, Larentzakis won the Greek Cup, Basketball Champions League and FIBA Intercontinental Cup with AEK, before he made the decision to try his luck in Spain. Larentzakis also previously represented Ikaros Chalkidas, Aris and Kolossos Rodou in Greece as a professional player.

Larentzakis participated at the 2019 FIBA World Cup with the senior national team.
