Larentzakis officially joins Murcia

UCAM Murcia have confirmed the signing of Giannoulis Larentzakis after the Greek left AEK earlier in the summer.

On Saturday, Murcia released this following statement:

“Giannoulis Larentzakis signs for two seasons with Murcia. The Greek player will join our team next Tuesday.”

Larentzakis, 25, had left AEK after the previous campaign ended. Recently, Larentzakis represented Greece at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China, gaining an average of 4.5 points at the competition. Larentzakis averaged 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals in the 2018/2019 Basketball Champions League for the Enosis.

He won the Basketball Champions League in 2018 with AEK.

Larentzakis joins former AEK teammate Dusan Sakota at Murcia. The pair had a large part to play in AEK’s triumphs in the Greek Cup, Basketball Champions League and FIBA Intercontinental Cup in the last two years.
