Levadiakos and Karaiskakis record victories

Levadiakos and Karaiskakis both recorded key victories in their fight for promotion in Monday’s Super League 2 action.

Levadiakos thumped relegation-bound Kerkyra 4-0 in Monday’s Super League 2 action. The visitors, who have now recorded five consecutive victories, took the lead late in the first half when Mantzios headed home Vichos’ corner in the 41st minute. Angoua doubled the visitors’ lead six minutes after the restart, and Vichos made in 3-0 in the 63rd minute with a well-placed free-kick. Poletto formed the final 4-0 scoreline five minutes from the end. 

Levadiakos now sit in third with 26 points, along with Apollon Larissa, just one point behind second-placed Apollon Smyrnis. Kerkyra are bottom of the table with Apollon Pontou on -3 points. 

Karaiskakis recorded an important 2-0 win over Panachaiki on Monday. The hosts opened the scoring in the 38th minute through Mece, and Kyvelidis secured all three points with his insurance marker two minutes from the end. 

The Arta side are well in the fight for promotion as they sit in fifth place with 24 points while Panachaiki have fallen off the pace in eighth place with 19 points.
