Levadiakos victorious in Crete

Levadiakos defeated Ergotelis 1-3 in Crete to move into third place in the Super League 2 standings along with Chania on 37 points.

Levadiakos’ good form in the Super League 2 continued on Monday as the Livadeia side came away with an important 1-3 victory over Ergotelis in Crete. Despite a fast-paced game with good goal-scoring chances for both teams, the first half ended goalless. 

It took 70 minutes for the first goal to be scored, and it was Mejia who provided the breakthrough for the hosts. Thirteen minutes later, Nikas doubled Levadiakos’ lead to give them a commanding advantage before Vichos put the icing on the cake one minute before the end to put Levadiakos 0-3 ahead. 

The hosts could only muster up a consolation goal in stoppage time with Rovithis successfully converting a spot-kick.

The result moves Levadiakos into third place along with Chania on 37 points as both sides trail second-placed Apollon Smyrnis by just two points. Ergotelis are seventh with 28 points, two points behind sixth-placed Apollon Larissa.
