Mantalos Features in FIFA 20 Team of the Week

After scoring a brace against Volos NFC last weekend, Petros Mantalos has been included in the latest FIFA 20 Team of the Week.

Greek football has its first representative in the FIFA 20 Team of the Week after Petros Mantalos was included in the 23-man squad for the week of 23 October.

Mantalos assisted Marko Livaja’s opening goal before netting a late brace with goals just three minutes apart to help AEK claim a narrow 3-2 win over Volos at the Georgios Kamaras Stadium in Rizoupoli.

Mantalos’ inclusion in the squad means the Greek international receives a special card in the game, taking his overall rating from 75 to 81 -- making him the only current Super League player with a card featuring a rating higher than 80.

By comparison, Mantalos’ rating in the game with this new card puts him in third among Greek players with only Kostas Manolas (85) and Sokratis Papastathopoulos (84) with higher ratings in the game.

AEK will be hoping Mantalos will be in consideration for next week’s FIFA 20 Team of the Week as well when the Athenians face rivals Olympiacos in the most intriguing fixture on Matchday 8 in the Greek top flight.
