Mavropanos moves to Nürnberg on loan 

Konstantinos Mavropanos, who has struggled for game time at Arsenal, has moved to FC Nürnberg for the remainder of the 2019/2020 season.

On Monday, Arsenal released this following statement on their official website:

“Dinos Mavropanos has joined 2.Bundesliga side FC Nuremburg on loan for the remainder of the season. 

“The 22 year-old defender has made eight first team appearances since joining us from Greek side PAS Giannina in January 2018.

“The Greece under-21 international has featured in recent first team matchday squads and started in our 2-2 draw away to Standard Liege in the UEFA Europa League in December. Dinos has also made 11 appearances for our under-23s this season.

“Everyone at Arsenal wishes Dinos all the best for his time with FC Nuremberg.

“The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”

Mavropanos, 22, joined Arsenal from PAS Giannina for 2.1 million euros in January 2018. In the current campaign, Mavropanos has only competed in 11 games across all competitions, with eight of those appearances having been registered in the Premier League 2 with Arsenal’s reserves.

Nürnberg occupy 16th place of the 2.Bundesliga with 19 points from 18 games.
