Panathinaikos completed yet another signing this summer despite a slow start to the offseason. After signing three players in quick succession, the latest addition to the 2019/20 Trifylli roster will be Yohan Mollo, who penned a two-year deal on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

The club is expected to officially announce the signing on Friday. Mollo will travel to Holland on Friday to begin training with his new squad and will undergo the necessary medical tests when the team returns to Athens.

The 30-year-old left-winger was scouted out by Panathinaikos technical director Nikos Dabizas. The former Greek international has put his confidence in Mollo to take charge of Panathinaikos’ left flank.

Mollo has previously played for Monaco, Caen, Granada, Nancy, Saint Etienne, Krylia Sovetov Samara (twice), Zenit, Fulham, and last on the books for Sochaux. With Sochaux in the second half of the 2018/19 campaign, he made 16 appearances with two goals and three assists to his name.

Donis will be pleased with the club’s latest signings as Dimitris Kolovos, Ghayas Zahid, and now Yohan Mollo, will give the Greek boss multiple attacking weapons in the upcoming season.

Panathinaikos value Macheda at two million

Federico Macheda has been the star in a fantastic preseason for Panathinaikos, with the Greens having already taken down Dutch Eredivise giants Feyenoord and last year’s UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, Ajax, in friendly matches. More important than the results themselves, the Panathinaikos players have put together convincing displays ahead of the new season.

Macheda has been a leading figure in this Panathinaikos preseason after what was considered a successful first campaign in the Greek capital. His name has been linked with clubs abroad, specifically Trabzonspor in Turkey, however, Panathinaikos will only sell their hitman at the right price.

According to “SportDay,” Panathinaikos now value Macheda at two million euros, a 500,000 increase from the start of the preseason. Although an offer has not reached Paiania, clubs could come knocking for Macheda’s services this offseason.
