On Wednesday afternoon, it was reported on AGONAsport that the Super League had a plan for the 2019/2020 playoffs and playouts to begin on June 14, but it has now been revealed by gazzetta.gr that the competition will start a week earlier instead. The season will subsequently be completed at the end of July with the Greek Cup semi-finals and final.

The first legs of the semi-finals were played at the start of March. AEK (2-1) and PAOK (3-2) hold advantages over Aris and Olympiacos respectively.

According to Gazzetta, a vote concerning the resumption of the Super League will take place on May 18, with ¾ of the teams required to vote in favour of the proposal to resume play. The plan to restart the season on June 7 and end in July will also be ratified so that teams can prepare for the upcoming matches.

At the moment, teams must only train in separate groups at their respective bases, but the Super League has issued a request to the Greek government for all clubs to train as normal. The green light is expected to be issued.

Players will be granted a two-week holiday after the season ends in July before preparations for the 2020/2021 campaign begin. A date of September 6 has been set for the start of next season in Greece.

Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK, Panathinaikos, OFI and Aris all qualified for the Super League championship playoffs, while Atromitos, AE Larissa, Asteras Tripolis, Lamia, Volos NFC, Xanthi, Panetolikos and Panionios dropped into the relegation playouts. 10 games will be played in the playoffs and seven in the playouts.
