Goals from Miguel Angel Guerrero, Giannis Fetfatzidis and Omar Elabdellaoui eased Pedro Martins men to a straightforward victory which sees them keep the pressure on PAOK, who travel to Levadiakos on Monday.

THE MATCH

Olympiacos came into the match in buoyant mood on the back of the sensational 3-1 win over AC Milan on Thursday which sent them into the last 32 of the Europa League, and it was virtually one-way traffic from the first whistle.

The hosts created a plethora of chances, and it was a surprise that the home fans had to wait until the 32nd minute for the first goal to go in.

Guerrero was the man on target first, scoring his third of the season to complete a fine attacking move involving Bibras Natcho and Kostas Fortounis.

Pape Abou Cisse hit the woodwork for Olympiacos five minutes later, but a second goal was not long in coming with Fetfatzidis netting in the first minute after half-time after Guerrero had flicked on a Fortounis cross.

Olympiacos were rampant at this point and it seemed like they would score with each meaningful attack they made. And it wasn’t long before the net was bulging again with Omar on target.

The Norwegian full-back rammed the ball home from close range after Natcho’s shot was saved by Lamia goalkeeper Bojan Saranov following some good play from Andreas Bouchalakis and Fortounis.

Fortounis then went on a mazy solo run on the hour mark which took him into the right hand side of the penalty area, but Saranov saved the Trikala-born midfielder’s shot with his legs to keep the score at 3-0.

A flurry of substitutions broke up the play as the second half wore on, and Olympiacos took their foot of the gas as the clock counted down.
