Olympiacos remain unbeaten

Olympiacos are now 3-0 in the 2019-20 LEN Champions League, after edging Montenegro’s Jadran Carine by a score of 8-7.

The Erythrolefki, playing at home, found themselves ahead 2-1 after the first period of play. They then maintained a 4-3 lead going into halftime. The visitors fought back, taking 4-5 and 5-6 leads in the third period, which ended with the score tied at 6-6. In the end, Olympiacos were able to escape with an 8-7 win, following a late goal from Stylianos Argyropoulos.

Leading Olympiacos offensively was Maro Jokovic with four goals. Stefan Mitrovic added two goals for the hosts as well. Olympiacos will now travel to Hungary to face Szolnoki VSC on November 8. The Hungarians have a 2-1 record in this year’s Champions League.
