Midway through the month, the Appeals Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation confirmed that the punishments for PAOK and Xanthi, who were found guilty of multi-ownership, will remain the same. PAOK received a seven-point deduction from the 2019/2020 Super League table, while Xanthi were docked 12 points. Xanthi were deducted a further five points as a consequence of irregularities in their shares.

However, Olympiacos are continuing to demand that the two clubs are relegated to the second tier of Greek football. It’s worth remembering that the Hellenic government controversially abolished the relegation punishment for multi-ownership after PAOK and Xanthi had been charged with the violation.

Olympiacos have consistently stated that both PAOK and Xanthi should be demoted for their actions.

Unhappy with the EPO’s decision, Olympiacos are now taking the matter to the CAS, demanding that the two organisations in question are relegated.

PAOK have also turned to the CAS in a final bid to clear their name.
